Success at Show Choir Canada 2022!

On May 7th 2022, Show Choir Canada, an international “glee” competition held in Toronto each year held a virtual, live stream competition due to the challenges relating to the Covid-19 pandemic. Island Show Choir took this as an opportunity to come back to the stage with one choir of passionate performers aged 9-15. Within a very short time frame and intense rehearsal times TONALITY was formed and performed a dynamic set that encompassed a science and creation theme. The performance set included the song favourites: “Little Shop of Horrors” from Little Shop of Horrors the musical, “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons, “The Scientist” by Coldplay, and “Born the Way” by Lady Gaga.

Tonality came 4th in their division.

Congratulations!

Perry Mansfield scholarship recipients share their experiences…

After a successful entry performance this year at the Show Choir Canada virtual competition this year, we celebrate scholarship recipients to the renowned Perry Mansfield Theatre intensive in Steamboat Springs, Colorado over the this summer. The Perry-Mansfield summer program is North America’s oldest performing arts camp, at over 109 years old!. In fact the Perry Mansfield program has been fundamental to acclaimed performers as Jessica Biel, Julie Harris, and Dustin Hoffman.

Over four weeks this summer, two of Island Show Choir’s performers embarked on an amazing adventure at Perry Mansfield where they received high standard instruction from top industry professionals and performed a summer mainstage production of NEWSIES.

Congratulations Liam and Samantha! We are so proud of you!
